FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of grafting hydrolysable and cross-linkable groups onto polyolefins. Disclosed is a method of grafting hydrolysable silane groups onto a polyolefins, wherein if present, ethylene links make up less than 50% by weight of the total polyolefin, which involves reacting a polyolefin and an unsaturated silane of formula R"-CH = CH - Z (I) or R"-C = C - Z (ii), where Z is an electron acceptor moiety substituted with a -SiRR'group, R is a hydrolysable group; R' is a hydrocarbyl group containing 1-6 carbon atoms; a ranges from 1 to 3 inclusively; and R" is hydrogen or a group which demonstrates electron acceptor effect or any other activation effect with respect to the -CH=CH- or -C?C- bond, or hydrolysate thereof in the presence of agents capable of generating free-radical active centres in the polyolefin, and the grafting reaction is carried out in the presence of a coagent which inhibits polymer decomposition as a result of beta-destruction in the presence of an agent which is capable of generating free-radical active centres in the polyolefin. Versions of using the obtained graft polyolefins are also disclosed.EFFECT: high grafting efficiency.21 cl, 20 tbl, 28 ex |
