<p>The invention relates to a multi-deck chamber furnace (10) for heating up workpieces (19; 19') comprising a furnace housing (11) having at least two horizontal furnace chambers (16; 17; 18) that are arranged vertically one above the other, whereby each furnace chamber (16; 17; 18) has an opening (13; 14; 15) in a furnace wall (12) on one side, and said opening can be closed by means of a furnace door (20; 21; 22). The furnace is characterized in that the furnace doors (20; 21; 22) are arranged in front of the openings (13; 14; 15) of the appertaining furnace chambers (16; 17; 18) in such a way that the transversal axes of the furnace doors (20; 21; 22) enclose an angle a with the furnace wall (12) that is greater than 0° and smaller than 45°, whereby the transversal axis of a furnace door (20; 21; 22) runs perpendicular to the horizontal axis of a furnace door (20; 21; 22). Furthermore, the furnace doors (20; 21; 22) can be moved linearly along these transversal axes.</p> |
