596984 Disclosed is the use of an antibody that specifically binds a protein having at least 80% amino acid sequence identity to: (a) a polypeptide having the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 51 in Figures 51A and B with or without its associated signal peptide; (b) a polypeptide encoded by the nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 50 in Figures 50A and B, or (c) a polypeptide encoded by the full-length coding region of the nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 50 in Figures 50A and B, in the manufacture of a medicament for inhibiting unwanted cell growth by a cell selected from the group consisting of a diffuse large cell lymphoma cell, a follicular lymphoma cell, and a mantle cell lymphoma cell, wherein the medicament is formulated for contacting said cell with an antibody that binds to said protein thereby causing an inhibition of growth of said cell, and wherein said antibody is conjugated to a cytotoxic agent via a linker selected from the group consisting of sulfosuccinimidyl maleimidomethyl cyclohexane carboxylate (SMCC) and N-succinimidyl-4-(2-pyridylthio) pentanoate (SPP).
