PURPOSE: A lateral flow analyzer is provided to largely improve detection sensitivity of an analyte which is tagged with a fluorescent material. CONSTITUTION: A lateral flow analyzer (1) comprises: a sample inlet part (210) for putting a sample; a flow path (320) which is connected to the sample inlet part and has a space in which the sample flows in/out; a photonic crystal (102) formed at a part of the inside of the flow path; and receiving elements which are fixed at a part of the inside of the flow path and are specifically conjugated with an analyte. A method for detecting an analyte comprises the steps of: putting a sample into the sample inlet part; conjugating an analyte contained in the sample with a fluorescent material; and binding the conjugated fluorescent material with receiving elements.
