ANTENNA USING META-MATERIAL

PURPOSE: An antenna using metamaterials increases the flexibility of radar module design by extending a bandwidth. CONSTITUTION: A ground layer (320) is formed on the lower surface of a dielectric substrate (310). Multiple unit cell patches (330) are formed on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate. A U-shaped groove (331) having a width (SW), a length (SH), and a thickness (ST) is formed inside the unit cell patch. A via (340) connects the ground layer and the unit cell patch. A feed line (350) is placed on one side of the unit cell patch placed in the outermost of the unit cell patches.
