PURPOSE: A solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the alignment properties of an emitter layer and a first electrode. CONSTITUTION: A first conductive semiconductor substrate (10) is prepared. An impurity forming layer is formed by doping a first surface of the first conductive semiconductor substrate with a first impurity (201) of a second conductivity. A passivation film (21) including a second impurity (202) of the second conductivity is formed on the impurity forming layer. A second part (20b) is formed by diffusing the second impurity to the inside of the first conductive semiconductor substrate. The resistance of the second part is lower than the resistance of a first part (20a). A rear surface field layer (30) and a second passivation layer (32) are formed on the rear surface of the first conductive semiconductor substrate.
