The catheter has a catheter region with which a stent is inserted into an inner body of a patient. An expandable stent is pre-mounted and arranged on or at the catheter region. The stent is lined with an expandable material synchronous with the stent at an inner side. The stent together with the expandable material is arranged inside the catheter region. A closed or reticulated open inner sheath i.e. sleeve, is formed by the expandable material. The stent is made of metal and polymer. The expandable material is formed by polymer hydrogel.
