A processor of this device for controlling the light distribution of a vehicle headlight acquires position information of a vehicle-to-the-front from a forward position sensor (12), detects the rotational angle (alpha) of the vehicle itself beyond a time (t4) at which the forward position sensor (12) detected conditions ahead of the vehicle itself on the basis of signals acquired from behavior sensors (14, 15) for detecting the behavior of the vehicle, corrects the position information of the vehicle-to-the-front on the basis of the detected rotational angle, and controls the light distribution of the vehicle headlight on the basis of the corrected position information of the vehicle-to-the-front. Thereby, a device and method for controlling the light distribution of a vehicle headlight are provided, wherein follow-up lag of the light distribution can be reduced.
