PURPOSE: A device for fixing the bottom of the headstock of a vertical lathe is provided to improve machining accuracy by preventing a bolt from loosening during a cutting work. CONSTITUTION: A device for fixing the bottom of the headstock of a vertical lathe comprises a headstock (3), a wedge (1), a clamper (2), and a bolt (5). The headstock is installed in a mounting hole of a bed frame, and the top thereof is fixed to the bed frame through a fastening screw. The wedge is formed in a right angled triangle shape and is inserted between the bottom of the headstock and the bed frame. The clamper supports and pushes up the wedge. The bolt fixes the clamper to the bottom surface of the headstock. |
