PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a library device in which a magnetic cartridge jumped out from the inside of a magazine can be prevented from jumping out to a movement passage of an accessor except for the occasion of taking-in/taking-out of the magnetic cartridge.SOLUTION: A library device includes: a magazine 13 provided with a plurality of cells each accommodating a cartridge 11; a device body for accommodating the magazines 13; a drive unit for performing reading/writing of the cartridge; a picker 17 for performing taking-in/taking-out of the cartridge 11 with respect to the drive device and the cell; and an accessor 15 for carrying the picker 17 so as to move between the drive unit and each cell; wherein there is provided, between the cell and the accessor 15, a jumping-out preventive mechanism 20 for preventing the cartridge 11 from jumping from the inside of the cell to a movement passage of the accessor 15 except for the occasion of taking-in/taking-out of the cartridge 11. |
