PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of shortening time when starting-up regardless of the number of sheets to be printed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a fixing section 60 for fixing a toner image formed on a sheet T; a registration roller pair 34 for adjusting timing to supply the sheet T to the fixing section 60; a temperature detection section 63 for detecting temperature of a prescribed part of a heating rotator 61 included in the fixing section 60; and a timing control section. At start-up of the image forming apparatus, the timing control section can cause to transit to a first mode for performing control to supply a first sheet T to the fixing section 60 when temperature detected by the temperature detection part 63 exceeds first temperature, or to a second mode for performing control to supply the first sheet T to the fixing section 60 when temperature exceeds second temperature which is temperature lower than the first temperature. The timing control section causes to transit to the first mode when the number of the sheets T to be printed exceeds a prescribed number, and causes to transit to the second mode when the number of the sheets T to be printed is the prescribed number or less. |
