The saddle has retaining elements (20, 24) arranged at a lower side (12) of a seat element (10) in a front region (22) and a rear portion (18) for connected with a saddle frame. The seat element includes a fabric mesh made of a fiber material e.g. glass fiber, carbon fiber, aramide fiber, natural fiber, linen, and mixed fiber. The fabric mesh includes a plastic material surrounding the fiber material. The fabric mesh is thermoplastically deformable for producing a three-dimensional shape. The retaining elements are injection molded at the seat element. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a bicycle saddle.
