PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heater able to reduce stress with respect to damage or abrasion of the longitudinal ends of a flexible member by restricting the longitudinal movement of the flexible member by use of a restricting part provided on a support member.SOLUTION: An image heater comprises: a heating body 11; a support member 12 supporting the heating body; a cylindrical flexible member 13 that rotates around the support member in contact with the heating body; and a pressure rotation member 20 that forms a nip part N together with the heating body via the flexible member. The image heater heats an unfixed image while sandwiching and conveying a recording material P with an unfixed image t thereon by use of the nip part. The support member has restricting parts 12a and 12b having flexible member end restricting faces 12a1 and 12b1 provided outside both the longitudinal ends of the flexible member orthogonal to the direction of recording material conveyance and configured to restrict the longitudinal movement of the flexible member. The restricting parts are formed integrally with the support member. |
