PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a storage water heater that reduces hot water temperature variation during supply of hot water, and has low heat loss, high efficiency, and high reliability.SOLUTION: A storage water heater includes a four-way valve first mode in which a boiling high temperature pipe 6 and a bottom part pipe 10 and a first top part pipe 8 and a second top part pipe 9 are brought into communication with each other, and a four-way valve second mode in which the boiling high temperature pipe, the first top part pipe and the bottom part pipe and the second top part pipe are brought into communication with each other, and has a high temperature discharge path 15 for taking out hot water at high temperature or air from an upper part of a hot water storage tank 3, a reverse flow prevention means connected in parallel to an opening/closing means, a low temperature discharge path 17, a mixing valve 21 for mixing hot water from a high temperature hot water supply pipe 11 during supply of hot water with water of a water supply pipe 18, a flow rate sensor 22 for detecting hot water supply from the mixing valve to a hot water supply destination, and a control part for controlling the storage water heater, and the control part 50 controls an on-off valve 12 into a closed state while the flow rate sensor detects a hot-water supply state. |
