PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a switch information collection time during disconnection failure of a distribution line to shorten a power failure time in an area affected by a failure section, eliminate the need for an installation cost for many radio repeaters and a use charge of a public network such as a PHS or a telephone line to reduce a communication infrastructure cost, and enable construction of a highly reliable distribution automation system.SOLUTION: The distribution automation system includes a plurality of distribution lines connected with a distribution substation so as to supply power from the distribution substation, a plurality of switches for dividing the distribution lines into a plurality of sections, and a plurality of communication devices for communicating information for monitoring or controlling the switches. When a first distribution line is disconnected at one or a plurality of points, a first communication device transmits the information for monitoring or controlling a first switch connected with a disconnected part of the first distribution line to a second communication device connected with a second distribution line different from the first distribution line, and the second communication device transmits the transmitted information to a third communication device installed in the distribution substation. |
