PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal and a communication method that enable more efficient communication.SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 100 comprises: a RAT change monitoring unit 35 for detecting a change in communication schemes from a first communication scheme to a second communication scheme in a cell in which the mobile terminal 100 is present in a state of continuation of a session; a TCP data transmitting/receiving unit 21 for detecting transmission or reception of an end packet indicating the end of the session if the change in communication schemes has been detected; and a session monitoring and management unit 23 for releasing the session if the transmission or reception of the end packet has been detected. This allows a TCP window size adequately corresponding to the communication scheme after the change to be used, and thereby allows for more efficient communication. |
