The method involves dividing captured image into predetermined image segments. An image segment (A) having specific characteristic is classified among predetermined image segments. The remaining image segments are classified as image segments (I,P) according to assignment rule. Intra-coded image data and difference-coded image data in respective image segments is determined depending on output image data of captured image. Data frames (F1-F4) are determined in dependence of determined intra-coded image data and difference-coded image data. An independent claim is included for a device for generating data stream for transmission of image data.
