The fuel injector (1) has a device for measuring a stroke movement of an armature (2). A spindle (3) is arranged on a front surface of the armature by a runoff support (4). A guiding disk (5) is mounted on the runoff support and the spindle is guided through a recess in the guiding disk and another recess in a magnet core (6). The spindle is also guided through a recess in the runoff support and a recess in a disk spring (7). The guiding disk is secured within the runoff support through a spring ring against axial and radial movement.
