PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppression control device or the like capable of relaxing devastating vibration caused by stopper hit of a lateral motion stopper at the time of significant lateral relative displacement.SOLUTION: A railroad vehicle 1 has a truck frame 21 on which a wheel shaft 22 is loaded through an axle box suspension, a car body 10 attached to the truck frame for relative displacement in a sleeper direction, and a lateral motion stopper 40 which regulates a relative displacement amount in the sleeper direction between the truck frame and the car body. A vibration suppression control device 100 is provided to the railroad vehicle and includes a lateral motion actuator 50 for generating a force which causes relative displacement in the sleeper direction between the truck frame and the car body, and a lateral motion actuator control means 120 for controlling the lateral motion actuator. Furthermore, the vibration suppression control device includes a significant lateral-relative-displacement occurrence predicting means 110 which predicts occurrence of lateral relative displacement of a predetermined magnitude or larger between the truck frame and the car body. In a case where occurrence of significant lateral relative displacement is predicted, the lateral motion actuator control means controls the lateral motion actuator to cause the car body to be displaced relative to the truck frame in a direction opposite to the direction in which the significant lateral relative displacement occurs, prior to the occurrence of the significant lateral relative displacement. |
