PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystalline pyridazine compound.SOLUTION: A crystalline compound of formula (1), its salts and solvates are provided for the treatment or prophylaxis of hepatitis C virus infections. Methods of making and formulating the crystalline compound (1) are provided. In an embodiment, the crystalline compound (1) is the free base substantially free of amorphous compound (1) and any other crystal form of compound (1). Another embodiment of this invention is a method for making the crystalline compound (1) comprising the steps of crystallizing the compound (1) from crystallization solvent and controlling the amount of water in the crystallization solvent.
