PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rotation sensing accuracy of a rotation sensing device by preventing unpredictable changes of a magnetization direction of magnetic elements constituting magnetic field sensing units, and to reduce the size of the rotation sensing device in a rotational axis direction.SOLUTION: Magnetic field sensing units 31, 32 and 33 for sensing a magnetic field generated by magnets 21, 22, 23 and 24 are located such that the longitudinal direction of each magnetic field sensing unit is in parallel with a tangent of a rotational direction of a support body 11. This allows reduction of the size of a rotation sensing device in a rotational axis direction. Spaces between the respective magnetic field sensing units are covered by a partitioning member 41. This magnetically shields the space between respective magnetic elements 35 provided in the respective magnetic field sensing units, thereby making it difficult for a magnetic field generated by the magnets to enter the magnetic elements 35 through the in-between spaces. Thus, unpredictable changes of a magnetization direction of the magnetic elements 35 caused by intrusion of a magnetic field into the magnetic elements 35 through the in-between spaces can be prevented. |
