PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconducting wire with a reinforcement member capable of maintaining stable superconducting characteristics by sufficiently suppressing occurrence of failures such as peeling of the reinforcement member accompanying strength reduction of an edge part.SOLUTION: In an oxide superconducting wire with a reinforcement member in which two reinforcing members are arranged so as to sandwich the oxide superconductive wire, the width of the reinforcement members is equal to or less than that of the oxide superconductive wire and a solder layer is provided between the reinforcement member and the oxide superconducting wire. A side surface in a cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the oxide superconducting wire and the reinforcement member is covered with solder. An outer peripheral part in the cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the oxide superconducting wire is covered with silver, copper, or an alloy containing one or more kinds of these metals.
