The valve assembly (3) has inlet side that is provided with sealing boarders. The sealing zones (12,13) are provided to seal a transversely displaceable seat element (7) on contact surface (9) formed on inlet side. A rod-shaped valve actuator (11) is provided in sealing boarders at outlet side. A flow throttling device (45) is integrated in the rod-shaped valve actuator. The tap-shaped throttle structures (18) are provided with throttle recesses e.g. throttle gutters (19). An independent claim is included for a fuel injection nozzle.
