The support (1) has a seat linear movably guided over a support unit (3), and arranged on a fixed position rail over a guide carriage (4) that is centrally arranged below the seat. The guide carriage is supported on the rail over a rolling element unit (5), which comprises multiple circulating rolling elements rollable at the rail. Laterally running grooves are provided at the rail such that the rolling elements roll-off in the grooves. A supporting roller is provided at two sides of the seat. The rolling elements are formed as balls or rollers from ceramic.
