The synchronization device has a sliding sleeve, a blocking synchronizing ring and a ratchet wheel, where ramps (12.1,12.2) are provided on a component for producing an axial servo power with respect to the shaft. The ramps are provided in a force flux region between the blocking synchronizing ring and the ratchet wheel. The former ramp is arranged for servo power generation when shifting from a higher gear to the shaft at a certain angle. The latter ramp is arranged for servo power generation when upshifting from a lower gear to the shaft at another angle.
