The method involves providing a cathodic dip coating on the surface of a component (10), and applying an adhesive layer on a peripheral portion of a connecting element formed from another metallic material component (12). The connecting element is inserted in an opening of the former component. The adhesive layer is in contact with the former component surface. A hole is formed in the connecting element in a region of the opening of the former component. A powder coating is provided on the surface of the former component or on an arrangement of the former component and the connecting element. An independent claim is included for a device for corrosion-resistant connection of two different metallic material components in a motor vehicle through a mounting assembly.
