The textile implant has a chain knitted fabric (4) that is provided with rectangular shaped mesh openings. The rectangular shaped mesh openings are aligned along the chain knitted fabric direction (6). The receiving formation (1) is arranged at edges (13,14) of the rectangular shaped mesh openings of the chain knitted fabric. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing textile implant.
