PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely diagnose abnormality of a torque sensor.SOLUTION: A device for diagnosing abnormality, which diagnoses abnormality of a torque sensor 12 connected to a controller 13 of a motor-driven power steering device 100 by two lines, includes: a steering speed determining part for determining whether a change speed of a steering angle of a steering 1 is a predetermined prescribed speed or more, based on a detection result from a steering angle sensor 15 for detecting the steering angle of the steering 1; an integrated value computing part for computing an integrated value of input torque detected by the torque sensor within a sampling section until returning to a neutral position after the steering 1 is steered at the prescribed speed or more; and an abnormality determining part for determining the presence of abnormality in the torque sensor 12, when the integrated value of the input torque computed by the integrated value computing part is a predetermined reference value or less. |
