PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deterioration of operation performance due to a lean air-fuel ratio derived from aging deterioration of a fuel injection valve, and the like in a split fuel injecting operation of executing fuel injections for a plurality of times for the same cylinder in one cycle.SOLUTION: An engine control device comprises a lean cylinder sensing means for sensing as a lean generation cylinder a cylinder with an air-fuel ratio leaner than a predetermined value in comparison to the other cylinders out of a plurality of cylinders, and an injection time control means for reducing the number of fuel injections for the lean generation cylinder sensed by the lean cylinder sensing means. |
