PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder, a positive electrode mixture and a negative electrode mixture, which are capable of well holding a powdery electrode material even when they are used in a reduced amount compared with conventional cases, are excellent in adhesion with a current collecting base material, have high flexibility such that, even when an electrode is thickly applied, wound and pressed to increase the density, the electrode shows no crack, and are suitable for increased capacity and increased voltage.SOLUTION: A binder includes a fluorine-containing polymer. The fluorine-containing polymer includes a polymerization unit based on vinylidene fluoride and a polymerization unit based on a monomer that has an amide group (represented by -CO-NRR' (where R and R' are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyl group)) or an amide bond (represented by -CO-NR"- (where R" represents a hydrogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl group or an optionally substituted phenyl group)), and has a solution viscosity of 10-20,000 mPa s. |
