PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motion close to the motion of a knee joint of a living body by saving an anterior cruciate ligament or manufacturing the ligament as an artificial one, allowing a U shape cut in the rear part of a tibial bone component to be deeper, forming a hole, and putting the anterior cruciate ligament through the hole.SOLUTION: An artificial knee joint includes: a femoral component mounted on a distal end of a femoral bone and having an internal condyle and an external condyle; and a tibial bone component mounted on a proximal end of a tibial bone and having an inner joint face and an outer joint face for respectively rotatably and slidably receiving the internal condyle and the external condyle. When an injury level of an anterior cruciate ligament is lower, a U shape cut to be formed in a rear part between the inner joint face and the outer joint face of the tibial bone component is deeply extended forward. Then, a tibial bone to which the anterior cruciate ligament is attached is left unresected in the U shape cut. |
