PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare earth permanent magnet capable of reducing eddy current.SOLUTION: A rare earth permanent magnet 1 comprises a division layer 2 formed so as to extend from an outside surface 1a on one side orthogonal to an orientation direction A of the rare earth permanent magnet 1 to an outside surface 1b on the other side. The division layer 2 is composed of the same element group as an element group composing the rare earth permanent magnet 1; is formed so that its electric resistance is higher than that of the rare earth permanent magnet 1; and has a part made of an amorphous alloy 2a in contact with the rare earth permanent magnet 1, where the inside of the amorphous alloy 2a is composed of a recrystallization permanent magnet 2b having a magnetization easy axis direction in a direction orthogonal to the orientation direction of the rare earth permanent magnet 1. |
