The invention proceeds from a sanding disc having an abrasive layer (12a, b) and having at least one cutout (14a, b) for the suction extraction of sanding dust from a machining surface. It is proposed that the abrasive layer (12a, b) has at least one transverse suction-extraction duct (16a, b) which is provided to carry sanding dust.
