摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical current sensor which offers reduced double refraction in an optical fiber and superior current sensing accuracy, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An optical current sensor measures current by making use of Faraday effect in optical fibers and includes a cylindrical member 64, an optical fiber 65 used as a support member, and an adhesive 66 used as a fixing member. The cylindrical member 64 has a cylindrical portion whose internal diameter is larger than the external diameter of an optical fiber 63 which is accommodated inside the cylindrical portion. The optical fiber 65 used as a support member is placed on the cylindrical member 64 in the longitudinal direction thereof and has a thermal expansion coefficient that is similar to that of the optical fiber 63 or at least smaller than that of the cylindrical member 64. The adhesive 66 used as a fixing member fixes the optical fiber 65, used as a support member, and the cylindrical member 64 together.
