PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing member control apparatus in which it can be detected promptly that a foreign object is caught by a window, by shortening a mask period during which the catching detection is not performed, as further as possible.SOLUTION: A window control apparatus 1 comprises a transmission mechanism which transmits rotations of a motor M to a window 3 and a controller 22 which rotates the motor M forward/backward in a window opening/closing operation, determines that a foreign object is caught by the window 3 based on a pulse signal corresponding to a motor rotating speed during a control period of the controller 22 and sets a mask period for preventing an erroneous catching determination. In the window control apparatus 1, the controller 22 executes slackening removal control for inverting the motor M between window opening control and closing control in order to reduce an idling amount during operation where the transmission mechanism cannot transmit the rotations of the motor M to the window 3 just after switching from the window opening control to the window closing control. When setting the mask period in the window closing control execution period, the mask period does not include a period corresponding to the idling amount reduced by the slackening removal control execution. |
