PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for inspecting packing aptitude of a hollow container such as a glass bottle prior to a packing step.SOLUTION: A hollow container of an inverted state is placed on an inspection table whose upper surface is smooth, a test liquid reservoir is formed on the periphery of a mouth part, and in a state that the follow container is pressed to the inspection table from an upper part by predetermined force, air is sent from an air exit formed on the inspection table to pressurize the hollow container to a predetermined pressure. When air is leaked from a space between the container mouth part and the upper surface of the inspection table and bubbling of a test liquid is confirmed, the hollow container is determined as a defective product, and when bubbling is not confirmed, the hollow container is determined as a non-defective product, so that the hollow container exceeding a fill level can be previously inspected at high probability. |
