PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual controlled release liquid matrix capable of minimizing or preventing misuse of an agent in a controlled release formulation (especially an agent such as an opioid analgesic having a tendency of being overused) for a low doze agent.SOLUTION: A dual controlled release matrix system, which is suitable for encapsulation in a hard capsule or a soft capsule, includes a hydrophilic vehicle (for example, a combination of high molecular weight polyethylene glycol and low molecular weight polyethylene glycol) for controlled release of one or more pharmaceutically active materials and a hydrogel forming polymer material dissolved or dispersed in the hydrophilic vehicle. |
