PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a display device that can be easily repaired even if failure such as inter-layer short circuit due to inflow of static electricity occurs.SOLUTION: A substrate for a display device includes: a first wiring part 10 that is disposed in a display area on a substrate 1, and is formed by being drawn from the inside of the display area toward the outside of the display area; a second wiring part 70 that is formed by crossing the first wiring part 10 outside the display area on the substrate 1 with an insulating film interposed therebetween; an opening 72 that is formed on the second wiring part 70, and opens in an area overlapping with at least the first wiring part 10 that crosses with the second wiring part 70; and superimposing parts 74 that are formed on both ends of the opening 72, and where the first and second wiring parts 10 and 70 overlap with each other with the insulating film interposed therebetween.
