PURPOSE: An optical receiver for optical communications is provided to enable a user to easily check the operating status and abnormal status of the optical receiver from the outside without using a measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION: When converting an optical signal transmitted from an optical transmission device into a radio frequency (RF) signal, a driving control part (310) detects the level of the optical signal. The driving control part turns on a light-emitting diode (LED) corresponding to the detected level of the optical signal. The converted and outputted RF signal is fed back to the driving control part. The driving control part monitors if output is maintained. The driving control part turns on a corresponding LED when an abnormality is generated. |
