PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color measuring device, a recorder, and a color measuring method which can perform highly accurate color measurement with excellent throughput when performing color measurement.SOLUTION: A color measuring device is provided with a pressing plate 33 which is movable both to a position where surrounding parts of a color measurement target part in an image written in a recording medium Pr is pressed by the pressing plate 33 and a position away from the recording medium. A color measuring carriage 21 mounting a color measuring sensor 20 moves in the main scanning direction while contacting the pressing plate 33 and moves as the pressing plate 33 presses and leaves. A waiting position of the color measuring carriage 21 when the pressing plate 33 is away from the recording medium is controlled according to a position of a side end part of the recording medium. |
