PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recognition device, even when an imaging range is changed after setting a recognition area for recognizing a recognition object, dispensing with re-setting of the recognition area, and a driving support device.SOLUTION: A driving support device 10 includes: a display 11 that displays an image of a vehicle periphery captured by an image pickup device 61 mounted on a vehicle; a setting unit 14 that sets a recognition area representing a recognition object in the image by designation of the user and, when the vehicle moves, adjusts the setting content of the recognition area in the image according to the movement; a recognition unit 15 that recognizes the recognition object on the basis of the image information of the recognition area, and detects a state change of the recognition object; and a notification unit 16 that, when the state change of the recognition object is detected, controls a notification device 63 to notify the user. |
