PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer drive mechanism which is functional and excellent in design.SOLUTION: In a pointer drive mechanism 100 for decelerating rotation of a minute hand shaft 220 and transmitting the rotation to an hour hand shaft 210 includes: a cylindrical body 300 configured by projecting tip parts of respective shafts from one bottom surface and projecting a base end part of the minute hand shaft 220 from the other bottom surface; a sun gear 410 attached to the minute hand shaft 220; a planet gear 430 engaged with the sun gear 410 and an internal tooth 420 of the cylindrical body 300; a plate body 440 pivoting the planet gear 430; a revolution transmission gear 450 attached to a cylindrical boss part 441 of the plate body 440; a driven gear 460 engaged with the revolution transmission gear 450; and an hour hand wheel 470 engaged with a small gear 461 of the driven gear 460: and is configured so that a deceleration ratio from the minute hand shaft 220 up to the revolution transmission gear 450 is set to 6/1 and a deceleration ratio from the revolution transmission gear 450 up to the hour hand shaft 210 is set to 2/1. |
