PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding an annular rubber member, configured to precisely bond ends of a band-shaped rubber extruded by an extruder to form an annular shape, while preventing deformation caused by a difference between inner and outer circumferences.SOLUTION: A method for forming an annular rubber member includes the steps of: bringing a base 15 close to a table 50 to start extrusion of band-shaped rubber S, increasing the extrusion amount to a predetermined amount and gradually separating the base 15 from the table 50 by a predetermined distance; pasting the band-shaped rubber S annularly while keeping the extrusion amount at the predetermined amount; and decreasing the extrusion amount from the predetermined amount immediately before the end of pasting and joining the ends of the band-shaped rubber S to each other. A rubber flow amount on an outer circumferential side in an outer circumferential flow passage 12o and a rubber flow amount on an inner circumferential side in an inner circumferential flow passage 12i are increased/decreased to increase/decrease the extrusion amount from the base 15 using the base 15 having an opening 11, the outer circumferential flow passage 12o, and the inner circumferential flow passage 12i. The rubber flow amount on the outer circumferential side is made larger than the rubber flow amount on the inner circumferential side, to curve the extruded band-shaped rubber S. |
