PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endovascular tissue removal apparatus that includes an expandable conductive mesh.SOLUTION: A tissue treatment apparatus for restoring patency in a body vessel V includes: an elongated catheter 14 defining a longitudinal direction and having proximal and distal ends; a proximal expandable segment 18 and a distal expandable segment 20 mounted to the elongated catheter and positionable adjacent an occlusion O, and configured to transition from a first contracted condition to a second expanded condition; a mesh 22 in operative engagement with the proximal and distal expandable segments, expandable radially outwardly from the catheter upon corresponding transition of the proximal and distal expandable segments to the second condition, the mesh including a conductive material adapted to transmit electrosurgical energy to the occlusion. |
