PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of improving light-coupling efficiency from a light-emitting element to a light-transmitting member, having high luminous efficiency, and achieving high-brightness light emission.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device comprises: a light-transmitting member comprising a light-emitting surface and a light-receiving surface of the light-emitting device; a light-emitting element comprising an outgoing surface facing to the light-receiving surface and joined to the light-transmitting member; a light-guiding member for guiding emitted light from the light-emitting element to the light-transmitting member, which is provided so as to extend from a surface of the light-emitting element to a surface of the light-transmitting member. The light-guiding member comprises: a joining area in which the outgoing surface of the light-emitting element and the light-receiving surface of the light-transmitting member are joined so as to be facing each other; and a first covering area for covering one surface of the light-emitting element and the light-transmitting member, each extending from the joining area and protruding outside the joining area. At the same time, a first reflection surface for reflecting the emitted light to a side of the light-transmitting member is provided on an outer surface of the first covering area. |
