PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine having a simple coniguration that can suppress deviation from optimal control even if alcohol concentration changes, in control of equipment included in the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A compression-ignition type internal combustion engine where a blend fuel including hydrocarbon and alcohol is used includes: a concentration acquiring means for acquiring an alcohol concentration of fuel; a load detector that detects a request load; and an equipment control device that controls equipment included in the internal combustion engine. The equipment control device sets a calorific value in a combustion chamber based on the request load. The equipment control device performs control of equipment other than control for an amount of fuel supplied to the combustion chamber based on an engine rotation speed and the calorific value in the combustion chamber. |
