PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged particle generation device capable surely detecting the existence/absence of the generation of a charged particle.SOLUTION: A charged particle generator 3, a charged particle detector 4 and an air blower 2 for transmitting a charged particle to the outside are provided, and in a holding member (duct 14) for holding the charged particle generator 3, at least a portion located around a detection part of the charged particle detector 4 is antistatic. The charged particle detector 4 is held at a portion of the duct 14 for connecting an air outlet 10 for transmitting the charged particle to the outside and the air blower 2 while the detection part faces the inside of the duct 14. The charged particle generator 3 and the charged particle detector 4 are arranged oppositely, and are provided at a position where facing inner walls of the duct 14 approach to make an interval narrow. |
