PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generation device having improved desulphurization performance as compared with conventional ones and a fuel cell system.SOLUTION: A hydrogen generation device comprises: a reformer 4 generating hydrogen-containing gas by reforming reaction using a raw material; a hydrodesulfurizer 3 provided in a manner allowing heat transfer from the reformer and removing sulfur compounds in the raw material supplied to the reformer; and a heat transfer buffer part 5 provided between the reformer and the hydrodesulfurizer and buffering the heat transfer from the reformer to the hydrodesulfurizer. A downstream portion of the heat transfer buffer part has higher heat transfer buffer properties than an upstream portion with respect to a flow direction of the raw material in the reformer. |
