PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal oxide particles capable of well dispersing in a medium such as a solvent, a resin, etc., and also having a high tetragonal proportion, and a method for obtaining the same.SOLUTION: A method for producing a purified metal carboxylate compound is characterized by incorporating a second carboxylic acid without forming a compound with the metal in a metal carboxylate compound and a base into a solution containing the metal carboxylate compound and a halide, and removing the halide by reacting the second carboxylic acid and base with the halide. The amount of the base is desirably ≤1 equivalent based on that of the second carboxylic acid. |
