PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cord without torque to rotate around a longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: A steel cord 1 is five steel core wires 2 arranged parallel to each other in a plane and bundled up by a steel wrapping wire 3 while keeping the parallel alignment. The hardness of the wrapping wire 3 is lower than the hardness of the core wire 2. At least a part of space formed between the adjacent core wires 2 of the steel cord 1 is filled with at least a part 3a of the wrapping wire 3 transformed along the shape of the space by pressing force from double sides of the steel cord 1 by reduction rolls.
